The Following Are Strictly Prohibited
• Opened luncheon meat or sweetcorn tins (these are extremely dangerous). Empty tins must be placed in the bins provided.
• Hooks larger than Size 6.
• Keepnets.
• High-oil trout pellets (coarse/carp pellets only).
• Dogs or other pets.
• Radios.
• Fires or barbecues.
• Nut baits.
• Any type of weapon.
• Alcohol.
• Tents or windbreaks. Only green carp bivvies are permitted.
Fishing Rules
Pegs:
Fishing is permitted from numbered pegs only.
Stalking between pegs is not allowed.
Hooks:
• Specimen Lake: Whisker barb or barbless hooks only.
• Match Lakes: Barbless hooks only.
Rod Limits:
A maximum of 3 rods may be used at any one time.
Unattended Rods:
No rods may be left unattended while cast into the water or with baited hooks attached. This includes marker floats.
Fish Care & Welfare
Every angler must have their own landing net.
A landing net must be used for all fish over 4 inches (100mm) in length.
All fish must be returned to the water as quickly as possible after capture.
Anglers targeting carp on the Specimen Lake must have:
- An adequately sized landing net
- A suitable unhooking mat
- Bonjela or Klinik (or similar fish-safe treatment) for treating hook holds
Tackle & Rig Requirements
Only safe and sensible rigs may be used.
In the event of a line breakage, the lead must be able to release itself easily from the rest of the terminal tackle.
Do NOT use:
- Beads above the lead
- Knots above the lead
- Swivels above the lead
If you are unsure, please ask a bailiff before fishing.
Shock Leaders
The following are strictly banned:
- Tie-on shock leaders
- Leadcore leaders
- Korda Safe Zone Leaders
- Any similar leader systems
Biosecurity
All anglers must disinfect their equipment before fishing.
Please use the net dips located in the car park.
Safety Rules
The following activities are strictly forbidden:
- Swimming
- Tree climbing
Litter Policy
ALL litter must be taken home or placed in the designated bins.
Any angler found leaving litter will be permanently banned from the fishery.
Licences & Liability
All anglers must hold the relevant Environment Agency (EA) Fishing Licence.
All anglers fishing at Hudsons Farm do so entirely at their own risk.
Enforcement
All anglers must comply with these fishery rules at all times.
Any breach of the rules may result in an immediate ban from the fishery.
The owner reserves the right to refuse admission or access at any time.

Summer Opening Hours
- Gates open: 8:00am
- Gates close: 7:30pm or dusk (whichever is sooner)
- Last admittance: 7:30pm
- No visitors after 7:00pm
